Artists Paul van de Waterlaat and Haiko Sleumer have been collaborating for several years, focusing on the repair and queering of both personal and collective history. Unfulfilled desires from their own youth and the stereotyping surrounding queer identity form the point of departure in their work. Their artistic practice is closely intertwined with their background in gender theory and art theory. Paul and Haiko primarily work with textiles, collage techniques, photo manipulation, and installation art.
